This is this year’s fundraising event for AshaKiran, a non-profit organization in the area since 2006, that provides free culturally competent’ services in 49+ languages throughout the state of Alabama to individuals from multicultural backgrounds that are experiencing traumatic/stressful situations such as domestic violence, sexual assault, depression, violence/crisis of any kind, or developmental disabilities.
Engel and Völkers was proud to be a part of this event as one of the sponsors. Me along with Julie Osborne had a fun packed day meeting so many people and interacting with them about their Real Estate needs. We had Face painting and ballon twisting for kids entertainment and everybody had a good time at our booth.
The Event included: Keynote speaker Arun Gandhi (Grandson of Mahatma Gandhi), Dignitaries, an elaborate Fashion show featuring Indian weddings, Dance Performances, Yoga/ meditation seminars, Indian cuisine, Mehendi, Pictures in front of a Taj Mahal backdrop. And Kids games/ activities such as face painting and ballon twisting organized by Shalu Holman and Julie Osborn.
